Tapovan High school celebrated 55th Kannada Rajyothsava on 3rd November 2010.
Poet, Radio and Television artist Sri Anekal Krishnamurthy Kati M.A. enriched the function as chief guest. Mr.Vital Rao the administrator of Tapovan School presided over the function.
the chief guest hoisted the state flag of Karnataka and received the salute. Soon after Nadageete ‘jayabharata jananiya tanujate’ written by rashtra kavi Kuvempu, the first Jnanapeeta awardee for kannada was sung by group of teachers of Tapovan.
Mrs.Vanitha , teacher of Tapovan school gave the welcome speech. Next the song which signifies driving away the darkness, inferiority , restlessness to walk towards the light to up held and to spread fragrance of Kannada all over , Hacchevu kannadada deepa was sung by the teachers.
Our students Niranjan S and Chaya R read out the list of great achievers of Karnataka in their respective fields. It was very informative.
Sindu and group sang a kannada patriotic song. Then the chief guest was invited to share his thoughts about kannada rajyothsava with all instead of useless speech, he entertained all by singing many kannada songs that praise Karnataka and Kannada. Not only, that, he gave a call to all kannadigas to be loyal and possessive of their own state inorder to protect their land and language from external accession. We were reminded speechless and the small children enjoyed by clapping to his songs rhythmically. He concluded the programme with a mono acting , enacting the role of Shrikrishnadevaraya of vijayanagar dynasty. He was very impressive.
Finally Mr. Vittal Rao shared his thoughts through his presidential speech.
Mrs. Jyothi thanked the dignitaries for their presence. Mrs. Preeti managed the whole programme from the beginning till the end efficiently.
It was a really special that all the events were held completely in Kannada and made all kannadigas to be thank full to their homeland and inspired them to contribute to it.
