Independence Day 2018

The 72nd Independence day celebration started with the arrival of the Chief Guest Shri Sidde Gowda (C.I of Jigani Police station) accompanied by the School President Dr JVR Sharma and Principal Dr J. A. Vani Sharma.
The Chief Guest escorted by the School President and Principal, hoisted and unfurled the tricolour flag followed by the National Anthem. Many programs were conducted like Vandemataram Chorus, Fancy Dress, Kannada Patriotic Dance, Tiranga Dance, Sanskrit Patriotic Songs, Hindi Patriotic Songs, etc, which was followed by an awareness talk on the necessity of Drumstick (Nuggekai) cultivation and distribution of drumstick saplings to the teachers and children in association with MHR foundation of India on a nominal fee to promote ‘natural farming’ and ‘safe food’.
The chief guest on his address to the students, parents and teachers emphasized on the growing necessity of nurturing ‘civilized citizens’ respecting the nation and ‘giving back’ to our nation; and also the need for preserving trees and protecting environment. The program was concluded with a pledge by all Tapovanites to plant a tree and reduce pollution and save our environment.
